Gebr. Heinemann in Hamburg's HafenCity invites you to join as Senior Project Manager People & Culture on a full-time basis (38.5 h/week) at our headquarters.

You will lead strategic, cross-functional projects across the employee lifecycle, drive process improvements with stakeholders across regions, and shape governance. The role requires hands-on leadership and fluency in German and English.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Humanities, or similar.
• Several years of experience leading complex, cross-functional projects.
• Experience in an international environment, with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English.
• Hands-on mindset with initiative to drive topics forward.

Aufgaben

• Lead strategic, cross-functional People & Culture projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Drive initiatives across the employee lifecycle from concept to sustainable implementation.
• Develop and implement new People & Culture processes and standards.
• Support transformation initiatives within People & Culture and ensure successful execution.
• Own projects on the People & Culture roadmap and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Create business cases and materials for strategic people topics for different audiences.
• Provide progress reports, expose risks and decisions through regular communication.
• Facilitate workshops, project teams and steering committees across regions.
• Further develop PM standards, methodologies and governance structures.

Your new job includes

As a Senior Project Manager People & Culture, you will lead strategic, cross-functional projects across the entire employee lifecycle. Working closely with People & Culture teams and business stakeholders, you will drive the continuous improvement of key people processes and strategic initiatives, making a significant contribution to the successful execution of our People & Culture roadmap.
In particular, you will

• lead strategic and cross-functional People & Culture projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
• drive initiatives across the entire employee lifecycle, from concept development through to successful implementation and sustainable integration into the organization
• develop and implement new People & Culture processes and standards while continuously enhancing existing solutions
• support company-wide transformation and change initiatives within the People & Culture environment and ensure their successful execution
• take ownership of projects and initiatives from the People & Culture roadmap, working closely with key stakeholders to prioritize, structure, and drive them forward
• develop content-rich concepts, business cases, and decision-making materials for strategic people topics, tailoring them to different target audiences
• provide transparency on project progress, risks, dependencies, and key decisions through structured reporting and regular stakeholder communication
• facilitate workshops, project teams, and steering committees to enable effective collaboration across functions and regions
• further develop and professionalize project management standards, methodologies, and governance structures within the People & Culture function

Preferred Profile

• Successfully completed a degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Humanities, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in an international environment
• Proven ability to successfully manage strategic initiatives involving diverse stakeholders, competing priorities, and interdependencies
• Ideally, experience within the People & Culture / Human Resources environment
• Strong project management, stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across different organizational levels
• Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities combined with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach to execution
• A hands-on mindset, strong initiative, and the ability to independently drive topics forward and bring them to a successful conclusion
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
