Job Description

As a (Senior) Project Manager Consumables, you will take on strategic responsibility for the development and management of complex projects in the field of clinical consumables for medical devices, with a particular focus on tubing sets and similar plastic products. You will drive innovative projects from the initial concept through to series production while simultaneously optimizing existing processes.

  • You will oversee the development of consumables for medical devices or device groups in a highly regulated environment, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budget requirements.
  • Acting as the central point of contact, you will coordinate interdisciplinary teams of engineers, biologists, and chemists, while collaborating closely with production and senior management.
  • You will design and develop components and assemblies, create detailed test plans, and solve complex production challenges.
  • You will regularly present project progress and results to senior management, ensuring clear and effective communication at all levels.
  • You will develop applications, manufacturing processes, and designs within the technology groups and take responsibility for creating the required documentation and protocols in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • You hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Medical Technology, or a comparable field of study.
  • You have extensive, relevant professional experience in the development and design of medical consumables, including their components and manufacturing processes.
  • Practical experience in the production of plastic products and the development of tubing sets (or alternatively catheters) is a strong advantage.
  • You have successfully led project teams or teams in (sub-)projects with at least five members.
  • You thrive in an international environment and are fluent in English. You confidently and persuasively represent your position to both internal and external stakeholders.
