An established and rapidly growing client-side organisation in the data infrastructure and built environment sector is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead MEP installations and asset replacement projects across mission-critical facilities. This role offers a rare opportunity to play a central part in high-value, technically complex programmes across a diverse project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery of MEP systems and critical asset replacement across operational sites.
- Act as the principal client representative, ensuring quality, programme and commercial performance is consistently delivered by contractors and consultants.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, risk registers and reporting dashboards aligned with both stakeholder and compliance expectations.
- Drive technical oversight for the full project lifecycle – from scoping and design coordination through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Provide strategic input to the planning and prioritisation of capital investment programmes across the estate.
- Interface closely with internal engineering, operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration with business-as-usual operations.
- Manage external stakeholders including design consultants, contractors, and specialist vendors to ensure delivery aligns with performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement in project governance, sustainability practices, and asset lifecycle strategy.
Requirements
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in project management roles, specifically within MEP and / or critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong background in the design, installation and commissioning of complex mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proven experience acting in a client-side leadership capacity, managing multiple contractors and consultants on large-scale capital projects.
- Deep understanding of compliance, technical standards, health & safety, and asset lifecycle planning within live or high-risk environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, reporting, and programme governance capabilities.
- Relevant degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or Project Management.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Chartered Engineer status are desirable.
