Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead Transformation initiatives related to Quality at Smiths Detection. The role involves planning, coordinating, and implementing programs to enhance quality standards, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization.

The Senior Programme Manager will support the Global Quality Director in improving quality management systems, process optimization, and embedding best-in-class quality assurance methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, experience with quality systems, and a proven track record managing large-scale transformation programs, engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Duties include:

• Leading and managing large-scale quality transformation initiatives.
• Overseeing process improvements using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and TQM.
• Engaging with stakeholders across senior leadership, engineering, compliance, and external partners.
• Managing risks, dependencies, and change within transformation projects.
• Handling program budgets, resources, and milestones.
• Ensuring project governance and delivery excellence.

Qualifications:

• Professional qualification in project management (e.g., IPMA, APMQ) preferred.
• Degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related fields.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Extensive experience in programme management, especially large-scale transformation within embedded systems.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and quality management tools.
• Ability to deliver projects using agile, waterfall, or hybrid methods.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
