You’ll work closely with internal R&D, product management, quality, and test teams, while coordinating with external partners to shape a scalable, compliant, and reliable product.

  • Collaborate with test engineers to plan and coordinate integration and verification activities.
  • Accompany and steer the technical development process at our external development partner.

Shape Feature Development & Market Adaptation

  • Translate feedback from users, product teams, and service departments into design improvements and product features.
  • Coordinate the integration of new features—developed in-house—into future hardware revisions and software updates.
  • Support market expansion by addressing regulatory requirements in collaboration with the quality teams.

Transfer to Scalable Production

  • Oversee the technology transfer of device production from the prototyping department to scaled manufacturing within the development partner’s facilities.
  • Define and optimize batch sizes, production flows, and deployment strategies in line with scale-up needs.

Your profile
  • A degree in Engineering, Physics, or a comparable technical discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience as a product or systems engineer, ideally in medical devices, lab automation, or special machinery.
  • Proven experience in bringing complex, interdisciplinary products from prototype to production.
  • Strong ability to coordinate across teams and manage input from diverse stakeholders (engineering, quality, product, service, etc.).
  • A structured, hands-on approach with strong documentation and analytical skills.
  • Experienced in requirements management, change control, and documentation management.
  • Familiarity with risk management, relevant regulatory requirements and standards (e.g. IEC 61010 or similar) is beneficial.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment, with a willingness to shape processes.
  • Passion for innovative products and the work in an interdisciplinary team.
