Your role in Dash0

As a Senior Product Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our product. You will work at the intersection of technology, user experience, visualization, and data access to enhance our product's capabilities, drive growth, and optimize user experiences.

You are part of an empowered product team focused on making Dash0 the best observability tool for our end users.

Key Responsibilities

• You'll work within a cross-functional team to enhance and extend Dash0's core products – with a focus on frontend engineering.
• You'll build high-quality user interfaces that are intuitive, efficient, and push the boundaries of what's possible in the observability space.
• You'll write a variety of tests, including integration and performance tests, to guarantee the stability and reliability of our product.
• You'll review your own work and that of your colleagues, ensuring that we deliver a polished and user-friendly product.
• You'll think about operating our product in a way that runs stable and can be easily maintained. Which also means exposing the right observability signals to monitor ourselves with Dash0.
• You'll actively contribute to documentation, share your expertise with the team, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You'll work directly with customers to troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and ensure they have a positive experience with Dash0.
• You'll have opportunities to participate in the OpenTelemetry community, share your insights at conferences, and contribute to the broader observability ecosystem.
  
  

About You

• You're a passionate, pragmatic, and highly competent software engineer with a strong product sense. You have:
• 5+ years of experience building user interfaces with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• 1+ years of experience with Next.js, including knowledge of the app router and server/client routing.
• Proficiency in TailwindCSS and years of experience working with CSS.
• A track record of collaborating with product managers and designers to build and iterate on user interfaces.
• Experience owning and improving production applications based on usage data.
• Familiarity with relational databases, RESTful APIs, and server-side development.
  

Ideally, You Also Have

• Experience with the Golang programming language.
