About You

You design and ship products that investors love to use. You care about adoption, usability, and building a culture of quality in a small, high-impact team.

About Earlybird

Founded in 1997, Earlybird identifies and backs exceptional early-stage companies on a pan-European basis – supporting them through their growth and development phases and providing financial resources, strategic support, plus access to an international network and capital markets. Through two separate strategies, Earlybird focuses on tech-enabled businesses in fintech/ insurtech, enterprise software, and deep tech (energy, food, and space) while Earlybird Health focuses on improving patient outcomes. Earlybird additionally has a Growth Opportunity Fund for follow-on investments, and a pro-bono impact initiative, Vision Lab. With EUR 2.5 billion under management across fund streams and a history of 9 IPOs and 35 trade sales, Earlybird is among Europe’s most established and active venture capital firms.

This role exists because EagleEye needs an engineer who owns the design and delivery of investor-facing workflows. By embedding usable, explainable, and reliable tools into dealflow, you ensure Earlybird’s investors can act faster and with greater confidence—true to our ethos of rolling up sleeves and empowering founders.

At Earlybird, your projects, responsibilities, and tasks will likely include:
  • Build investor-facing workflows with Next.js and TypeScript that integrate seamlessly into sourcing, evaluation, and deal discussions.
  • Own usability and adoption: design intuitive UIs and workflow APIs that make EagleEye essential in daily decision-making.
  • Deliver reliable, monitored interfaces with consistent design patterns and documented APIs/components.
  • Enable investors to query, summarise, and act on EagleEye signals via agentic workflows and explainable outputs.
  • Embed adoption metrics (weekly active users, % of deals reviewed via EagleEye) into product iterations.
  • Contribute to team culture by writing docs, pairing, and creating extensible component libraries.
What we hope you bring to the role:

Core

  • Strong experience with React/Next.js/TypeScript, shipping production-grade products.
  • Ability to translate user workflows into intuitive UI/UX with measurable adoption.
  • Solid knowledge of API design and integration, ensuring fast and reliable workflows.
  • Clear communication and documentation habits that raise team velocity.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with agentic/LLM-driven workflows or data-rich interfaces.
  • Familiarity with venture capital or investor tooling.

If you meet most core requirements, please apply.
