Kaizen Resourcing is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager in Munich to build and lead the Procurement & Supply Chain function as the company transitions from development to production. The role is hands-on and foundational, reporting to the COO, ensuring on‑time BOM delivery for initial production and test builds, and shaping procurement governance.

You will map suppliers, establish sourcing strategies, implement governance, and support cost data integration into the roadmap.

Qualifikationen

• Significant experience in procurement and/or supply chain in regulated manufacturing.
• Proven track record of setting up procurement functions from scratch.
• Experience with supplier management, sourcing, negotiation and performance monitoring.
• Close coordination with Engineering, Program Management and Operations is essential.

Senior Procurement Manager | Munich Build Procurement & Supply Chain from the ground up

A Munich-based UAV/VTOL company is hiring a Senior Procurement Manager to establish the Procurement and Supply Chain function as it moves from development into production.

This is a hands‑on, foundational role reporting directly to the COO. You will secure on‑time delivery of the BOM for the first production and test builds, map and qualify the supplier base, put professional procurement governance in place, and feed cost data into the product roadmap. Until dedicated operations resources are hired, you will also cover inventory, planning and ERP support.

High visibility with the leadership team and real influence over how supply chain is run as the organisation scales.

What you will do

• Own BOM on‑time delivery for test and assembly builds; identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks
• Map the supply base by category, run RFIs and benchmarking, and put dual‑sourcing and supplier monitoring in place (OTD, quality, financial health)
• Design and own procurement processes, the SCM handbook (governance, RASIC), sourcing and supplier‑screening processes
• Develop guidelines that cover production, EU regulations and relevant compliance requirements
• Feed accurate recurring and non‑recurring cost data into the cost BOM and product roadmap
• Support workshop setup: storage, material flows, incoming inspection and inventory management

What we are looking for

• Significant experience in procurement and/or supply chain, ideally in aerospace, automotive or another highly regulated manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of setting up procurement or supply‑chain functions, processes and governance from scratch
• Strong supplier management: sourcing, negotiation, contracts and performance monitoring
• Experience with BOM management and close coordination with Engineering, Program Management and Operations
• Working knowledge of ERP systems
• Comfort operating in a lean, fast‑scaling environment and covering adjacent operations topics when needed
• Excellent communication skills and experience reporting to senior leadership
• Fluent English (German is a plus)
• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related field
