5th Wave's customer is one of the world's largest specialist boutique consulting firms focused on designing and implementing solutions in IBM TM1 Planning Analytics for both public and private sector organisations.

The Role

They are seeking experienced Senior / Principal Consultants to fill a full-time role within their team.

This is a customer-facing role where you'll work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and build the front-end UX they desire.

High standards of professional communication and an understanding of the TM1 front end are essential. Knowledge of Apliqo, Workspace, Perspectives, etc., is highly desired.

Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Analysis and evaluation of business requirements through a structured, methodical approach.
• Define the solution scope, time, cost, and risk by translating business requirements into functional and non-functional deliverables.
• Estimate and plan project deliverables and success criteria.
• Identify project risks and assumptions.
• Communicate with stakeholders, business, and technical project teams to clarify roles and responsibilities.
• Implement financial planning solutions in IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 as per the scope.
• Identify potential Change Requests and coordinate with the Principal Consultant / Project Manager.
• Participate in Post Implementation Review and own subsequent actions.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Over 5 years’ experience in delivering financial planning applications, with IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 experience highly valued.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• Proven project experience across all phases of the project lifecycle, using project management methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge of IBM Planning Analytics / TM1, including cube design, turbo integrator processes, and rule engine. IBM Cognos TM1 Certified Developer is a plus.
• Ability to understand complex business problems and engineer effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Background in finance and understanding of financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, or supply chain roles.
• Strong skills in researching, designing, and implementing customer solutions.
• Excellent relationship management skills.
