THE ROLE

Zalando is seeking a dynamic and experienced product professional to join as Senior Principal Product Manager, Ratings & Reviews. The Zalando eCommerce Platform team is responsible for building consumer-facing features and platform capabilities to support Zalando’s vision of being the starting point for fashion and lifestyle. The Senior Principal Product Manager, Ratings & Reviews will help provide social proof, build customer confidence, and foster a community through shared feedback. This role involves collaboration with Design, Engineering, Data Science, and stakeholders across the company.

The candidate will lead the development of our reviews experience across multiple customer touchpoints, transforming it into an integrated part of the customer journey. Responsibilities include enabling customers to contribute media content (text, photo, video, audio), managing underlying capabilities, and ensuring commercial success. A background in content-enriched ecommerce, content moderation, and user engagement is essential.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING):
  1. Develop a 3-year product strategy & vision aligned with business goals, emphasizing experience elevation and technology-driven innovation.
  2. Create and maintain a prioritized product roadmap.
  3. Lead end-to-end product development, from discovery to delivery, including problem definition, solution identification, design, testing, and launch.
  4. Act as the thought leader for Ratings & Reviews internally and to leadership.
  5. Build relationships with commercial stakeholders and external partners to define product specs.
  6. Collaborate across teams to align initiatives, influence roadmaps, and drive successful implementation.
  7. Use data insights to identify improvements, optimize features, and report on outcomes.
  8. Communicate progress and findings to stakeholders, including senior leadership, through presentations and reports.

  2. Strong ability to set and communicate product vision, manage the entire product lifecycle, and craft strategic documents.

  4. Commercial awareness, leveraging user insights and market data to inform decisions.
  5. Experience navigating complex environments with multiple cross-functional teams.
  6. Analytical skills to evaluate data and derive insights for product improvements.
  7. Technical understanding, quick learner, capable of engaging with engineering teams.
  8. Leadership qualities, including mentoring and fostering innovation.
