  • Contribute to productization, qualification, and certification of SST system designs for commercial use.

  • Work in close partnership with stakeholders across ABB: program managers, product architects, research scientists, and productization teams.

  • Maintain and expand expertise in power electronics technologies, contributing to ABB's IP and standards activities.

Qualifications for the role

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power Electronics and orientation toward High Power / Medium Voltage applications.

  • 5+ years of experience in power electronics system design and development.

  • Strong skills in modeling, simulation, and system analysis using modern design tools.

  • Hands-on experience in testing, validation, and productization of power electronic solutions; medium-voltage expertise is a strong plus.

  • Interest in applied research and experimentation within an MV lab environment.

  • Self-driven and collaborative, motivated to work in a global, multicultural R&D team.

  • Fluency in English; German is an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

What's in it for you?

At ABB, you will be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of energy systems for datacenters. We offer access to cutting-edge labs, collaboration with global experts, and the chance to influence patents, standards, and new product families.
