About the Role
The Senior Principal Engineer, Product Value Analytics is responsible for defining and executing the product value analytics strategy across HARMAN Automotive division, considering all regions, business units, and customers.
What You Will Do
- Define and lead development of product value models supported by reliable and validated data.
- Establish and promote best practices in product value reference, including BOM, BOL, BOP, COPQ, and Carbon footprint across all SBUs.
- Build product value models for advanced technology products such as Digital Cockpit, Connectivity modules, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
- Develop and implement divisional strategies to assemble cross-functional teams focused on profitability, sustainability, and technical and commercial metrics.
- Collaborate with VM teams during ideation to set improvement targets supported by analytical models.
- Work closely with sourcing engineering and suppliers to identify value solutions, including emerging technologies that improve CO2e footprint.
- Analyze competitor benchmarks and cost engineering results to inform product value assessments.
- Lead the technical development and implementation of product value modeling solutions, including trend and sensitivity analytics.
- Enhance internal product analysis databases and develop reliable in-house analytics tools, validating third-party tools as needed.
What You Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in Product Value Analysis, Cost Engineering, Value Management, Procurement, or Manufacturing, preferably in Automotive.
- 10+ years of experience with semiconductor or electrical devices related to chips, modems, memory devices.
- Proven leadership in managing global teams to improve profitability, CO2e growth, innovation, and time-to-market.
- Experience with advanced automotive or consumer electronics products like Digital Cockpit, ADAS, or Audio systems.
- Technical leadership in cost engineering analysis and technology benchmarking.
- Strong skills in engaging diverse teams and stakeholders, including executives.
- Leadership qualities with strategic thinking and change management experience.
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or an MBA.
- Knowledge of procurement, controlling, and accounting fundamentals.
