IONOS EN in Karlsruhe seeks a PMO leader to establish robust project management practices across the company, connecting Product Management and Software Development. You will structure programs, manage resources, risks and milestones, and report clearly to executives.
Require 5+ years in technical PM, knowledge of PRINCE2/PMP/Scrum/SAFe, and fluent German and English. Jira/Confluence and experience with Claude and n8n for automation are a plus.
At IONOS, we don't just manage servers - we shape the digital future for more than 6.2 million customers worldwide with our solutions. As Europe's leading hosting provider and a pioneer in independent cloud solutions, we are building next-generation infrastructure - from sovereign cloud architectures and high-performance GPU clusters to integrated AI automation tools.
What drives us is digital sovereignty for Europe and real impact for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) as well as large enterprises. We work in agile teams, rely on transparent structures, and believe that excellence and innovation only emerge through true team spirit.
Do you love bringing structure to complex topics, making projects transparent, and driving real impact from day one? Join our team at our Karlsruhe office. In this role within the CPO PMO, you will work closely with the CTO PMO and cross-functional teams to establish robust project management practices across the company, making sure projects, requirements, priorities and resources are clearly visible and manageable.
Manage medium-sized programs and complex projects across the entire lifecycle, leading critical initiatives across various business areas, primarily at the interface between Product Management and Software Development.
Structure projects by status, effort, risks, dependencies, business value and resource needs, and support sponsors and idea owners with strategic plans
Help define and establish our project management methodology, prioritization logic (business value, effort, urgency, capacity) and refined change management process
Plan resources and capacity strategically, and help resolve resource conflicts across departments
Keep delivery status (time, budget, quality) fully transparent, **escalate** risks early, and report clearly to executive management and stakeholders
Align stakeholders with differing goals across Software Development, IT, BI, Commercial Management, Sales, Finance, Networks and Customer Care
Drive AI automation of PMO workflows with Claude and n8n, and mentor and coach other Project Managers in advanced planning and risk management
Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field
Solid, demonstrated experience over the last 5 years in project management within a technical environment (IT project management or digital delivery), including running several complex initiatives in parallel
Strong knowledge of traditional and agile frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Scrum, SAFe) combined with a strong IT affinity to bridge business and technology-including proficiency in Jira and Confluence, and ideally first to intermediate experience using Claude and n8n for workflow automation.
Proven ability to structure complex, ambiguous topics into actionable next steps, with strong conflict resolution skills, a pragmatic, independent working style and confident communication at all stakeholder levels
Strong, professional working proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).
We value diversity and welcome all applications - regardless of, for example, gender, nationality, ethnic or social origin, religion, disability, age as well as sexual orientation and identity, physical characteristics, marital status or any other irrelevant factor subject to applicable law.
