Zusammenfassung

Deutsche Bank AG in Berlin is seeking a senior engineer to design, build, and operate cloud-native platform services and distributed systems. You will use Go/Golang, GCP, Kubernetes, and Terraform to enable scalable, self-service developer platforms across the enterprise.

You will mentor engineers, drive automation, and champion observability and reliability best practices while delivering secure, high-performance solutions for modern cloud workloads.

Qualifikationen

• Strong software engineering experience with a modern language.
• Professional experience with Golang is preferred.
• Proven ability to design and operate distributed systems at scale.
• Strong hands-on experience with Public Cloud (preferably GCP).
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, and observability.
• Focus on quality, automation, and operational excellence.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity while applying responsible data usage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate cloud-native platform services and distributed systems using Go/Golang, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Build and enhance platform automation, self-service workflows, APIs, and developer platform capabilities to streamline software delivery and improve developer productivity.
• Design and implement observability, telemetry, and reliability solutions, leveraging monitoring, logging, tracing, and SRE practices to ensure platform health and performance.
• Drive adoption of modern cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes patterns, GitOps practices, and software engineering best practices across the organization.
• Mentor engineers through technical leadership, code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Your skills and experiences

• Strong software engineering experience with proficiency in a modern programming language.
• Professional experience with Golang is preferred.
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale.
• Strong hands-on experience with Public Cloud (preferably GCP), Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, and observability.
• Strong engineering mindset with a focus on quality, automation, and operational excellence.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
