Aufgaben

• Definieren und steuern die technische Vision, Architekturstrategie und End-to-End Delivery von Handelsplattformen.
• Führen eine global verteilte Engineering-Organisation, Mentoring von Senior Engineers und Recruiting unterstützen.
• Überwachen Design, Implementierung und kontinuierliche Verbesserung komplexer Front-to-Back-Handelsysteme.
• Bewerten, prototypisieren und einführen innovativer Technologien zur Lösung von Geschäftsherausforderungen.

As a Director (f/m/x) in Java Backend Engineering, you will set the technical direction for high-performance backend systems in a latency-sensitive electronic trading environment and lead a globally distributed engineering team delivering front-to-back trading solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall technical vision, architecture strategy, and delivery of end-to-end trading platforms.
• Lead and develop a globally distributed engineering organization, including mentoring senior engineers and supporting hiring activities.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of complex front-to-back trading systems.
• Evaluate, prototype, and introduce innovative technologies and solutions to address business and technical challenges.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering practices, tools, and frameworks to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Establish and maintain engineering excellence through architecture governance, code reviews, standards, and technical mentorship.
• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders, architects, QA, and DevOps teams to align priorities, drive automation, and optimize the software delivery lifecycle.

Your Skills And Experiences

• Expert-level hands-on experience in Core Java, including multithreading, networking, performance optimization, and scalable system design.
• Proven track record in designing, developing, and delivering complex front-to-back enterprise systems end-to-end.
• Strong understanding of modern software architectures, design patterns, industry frameworks, and engineering best practices.
• Experience implementing high-performance, fault-tolerant, and load-balanced solutions, supported by solid mathematical and algorithmic knowledge.
• Practical experience applying AI within software engineering environments and driving the adoption of AI-enabled development practices.
• Demonstrated success leading and mentoring engineers within globally distributed teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and English language skills, with the ability to engage effectively across both business and technical audiences.
