The Team
The chapter Technology & Engineering – Platform Engineering represents all experts who deliver DevOps capabilities to all our product teams. These experts are organized together to enhance those functional skillsets, improve E.ON’s DevOps tech stack and deliver a high level of cloud automation.
The Automation Factory provides engineering teams within E.ON standardized, automated capabilities to accelerate and improve software delivery across all business units. You are part of a team that helps other DevOps teams integrate and onboard the internal platform into their development workflow.
Your Role
Your Role – meaningful & rewarding
- Acting as technical guide for other DevOps teams and collaborating on integrating the internal development and operations tooling
- Being a guide in the product landscape of internal tooling and the wider cloud-native ecosystem
- Transitioning existing Global Technology platform products into an Automation Provider on our GitOps-based developer platform
- Being the bridge between the platform development team and its users by providing implementation support and feedback about the usage on the ground
- Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement
Your Profile
Your Profile – authentic & open-minded
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Strong technical consulting skills, having worked in a platform engineering or cloud-native setup before is a plus
- Deep hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure systems like Kubernetes, Crossplane, ArgoCD, & Co
- Expertise in GitOps methodologies and infrastructure as code with deep hands-on experience in cloud-native infrastructure systems like Kubernetes, Crossplane, ArgoCD, & Co
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure preferred)
- Expertise with scripting (e.g. bash) and/or programming languages (e.g. Golang)
