About this role:

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based microservice infrastructure running on EKS (AWS). The CPS team ensures security and reliability. To that end, we make extensive use of Infrastructure-as-code and Gitops principles with the aim being to automate everything from deployments to corrective actions.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions (mainly EKS) that catered to the company's needs.
• Collaborate closely with our development and security teams
• Add and improve our CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in on-call rotations

What will you bring to the table?

• Experience with operating production (medium to large scale) AWS environments and related IaC tooling (mainly Terraform)
• Experience working with highly available, distributed systems and services in a cloud environment and defining, developing, and rolling out technical operations processes and new services across teams and markets;
• Experience with docker and container orchestration systems (Kubernetes)
• Experience with Helm to automate the creation, packaging, configuration, and deployment of Kubernetes applications
• Affinity with logging, monitoring and alerting solutions (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpsGenie, Pagerduty etc.)
• Good understanding of common web stack protocols, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, SSL, WebSockets, SSH, etc.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, preferably GitHub Actions
• Experience with Linux system administration, including common tasks regarding the Linux kernel, performance analysis and debugging in Linux environment.
