Job Description

Senior Permit Manager - Approval Management / Energy Infrastructure / Clean Energy / Emissions Act / BImSchG / Permit Management / Plant Engineering / Power Plants/ Hydrogen

Interested in applying your permit management expertise to a senior position in the clean technology sector?

As an experienced Permit Manager, you will play a key role in facilitating the development of some of Europe’s largest and most advanced clean energy production facilities.

What's on offer?

  • The chance to work with one of Germany's most established Clean Energy teams, who following their most successful year to date in 2024 now have plans underway for the construction of multiple Hydrogen Electrolyzer power plants over the next 12 months.
  • A dynamic, fast paced role that will reward your communication and interpersonal skills, and give you the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the business; from planning engineers, lawyers, and environmental consultants, to construction managers and local authorities. You will be someone that excels at getting things done.
  • A very competitive compensation package, coupled with the chance to work with a handful of experts that have been picked from all over Europe.

The role:

  • Working closely with local authorities, you'll use your interpersonal skills to navigate complex permit approval processes to ensure the timely development of hydrogen-specific energy infrastructure.
  • Several prime locations have already been identified for these plants, and you'll lead the efforts to secure the necessary permits to bring these projects to life, overseeing each project from completion until the end of construction phases.

Ideally you'll have a combination of:

  • Experience in Permit Planning / Permit Management, ideally in the context of plant engineering / energy infrastructure.
  • Fluent German and English skills (suitable for working closely with local authorities and government bodies)
  • Experience with legal requirements would be a bonus (e.g. BImSchG / Federal Immission Control Act, WHG, BauGB, EEG, EU directives etc).

Onsite / Remote: You'll be able to work almost entirely remotely, with some exceptions where you'll need to attend in-person meetings with local authorities.
