Tasks and Responsibilities
- Cross-vehicle performance support including preparation, control, management and follow-up of driving simulator assignments or real test assignments
- Coordinating and monitoring racing vehicles during testing and/or racing events
- Creation of objective performance analyses, development of performance optimization potentials and development of new methods for performance-relevant evaluations in various motorsport projects
- Development and optimization of performance-relevant vehicle software and creation of test sequences for simulator programs and racing strategies
- Dealing with common data analysis tools
- Benchmarking in the relevant competitive environment with regard to new technologies
Requirements:
- Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or comparable
- Several years of professional experience as a performance or racing engineer in a professional motorsport environment
- Sound knowledge of driving dynamics, performance analysis and functional development of performance software
- Sound knowledge of MATLAB / SIMULINK or Python
- High level of communication and teamwork skills as well as strong goal and result orientation with strong conceptual and analytical skills
- Independent, solution-oriented and analytical way of working, even under time pressure
- Professional, binding and appropriate appearance in the automotive performance environment
- High willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and travel
- Class B driving license
- Very good written and spoken German and sound knowledge of English
