Your mission

We’re looking for a strategic and empathetic People Partner ready to step into their first team leadership position.

In this role, you’ll report directly to our Chief People Officer, balancing hands-on People business partnering with leading a small, agile People Operations team.

You’ll be the go-to partner for managers and teams on all people matters, while also fostering operational excellence and team development across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

People Partnering & Strategy

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and managers on organizational design, team dynamics, and workforce planning
  • Drive HR initiatives aligned with business goals, such as performance enablement, talent calibration, and engagement strategies
  • Coach managers on people leadership, feedback, and development practices
  • Partner with leadership on change management and communication strategies
  • Closely cooperate with your peers in Talent Acquisition to ensure a seamless, holistic People experience across the employee journey

People Operations Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2 People Operations Specialists based in Berlin
  • Oversee day-to-day People operations, ensuring consistent, compliant, and efficient processes across onboarding, offboarding, contracts, benefits, and more for all employees based in Europe (mainly Germany)
  • Champion operational excellence, automation, and process improvement across the employee lifecycle
  • Own and optimize Personio, systems, and data accuracy
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, including solid experience as an HR Business Partner or People Partner
  • Passion for coaching and people development, with the desire to step into a first-time lead role
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and influence across all levels
  • Solid understanding of HR fundamentals: employment law, HRIS, performance management, comp & benefits, etc.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations topics with sound judgment and empathy and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Analytical mindset – you bring insights from people data to influence decisions
  • Fluency in German and English

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in a fast-scaling environment or start-up/scale-up culture
  • Previous informal leadership (e.g., mentoring, project leadership)
  • Exposure to international HR practices or distributed teams
  • Familiarity with tools like Personio or similar
