We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Payroll Supervisor to join our team and oversee all aspects of our payroll operations. This position is essential for ensuring our payroll department operates efficiently and in compliance with all relevant regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, supporting staff, and implementing improvements to maximise our payroll efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary contact for team members, addressing complex operational or policy issues and collaborating with the Payroll Manager to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Lead efforts to optimize processes, setting benchmarks for new workflows and best practices.
  • Independently manage payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Supervise administrative tasks related to personnel actions, including contract updates, onboarding, and terminations.
  • Support employees and departments with inquiries related to tax and social security regulations.
  • Handle various communications and requests from government authorities.
  • Prepare detailed reports and perform analyses as required.
Requirements:
  • Language Skills: Fluent in German (native or bilingual proficiency) and strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience: Proven leadership experience, with a collaborative, hands-on approach to team management.
  • Expertise: Extensive professional experience in payroll management within Germany, with solid knowledge of payroll systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in SAP HCM is a must, along with familiarity with the Office 365 suite.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of income tax and social security regulations in Germany.
  • Skills: A passion for process optimization and continuous improvement.
