A global manufacturing company based in Berlin is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage German payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience, strong knowledge of payroll laws, and expertise in SAP HCM. Fluency in German and English is required. This role involves collaboration with HR and Finance, ensuring compliance and improving payroll processes within a dynamic team.

The Role:
As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things payroll in Germany. You’ll manage payroll cycles (on- and off-cycle), work closely with Finance and HR, and act as a key player in system improvements and audits. You’ll also support business partners and maintain alignment with German tax and labour regulations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Act as the main contact for German HR/payroll reporting
Prepare and process payroll using SAP HCM
Handle tax, social insurance, and compliance-related documentation
Partner with the Works Council & unions, ensuring smooth coordination
Lead SAP-HCM improvements: manage change requests and testing
What We’re Looking For:
2–4 years of hands-on experience with German payroll in a large corporate setting
Strong working knowledge of German payroll laws and procedures
SAP HCM experience is essential
Fluent in German and English (written & spoken)
A degree is preferred but not mandatory – experience and expertise are key!
