THE ROLE & THE TEAM

Payments has been a key driver of Zalando’s customer satisfaction, growth, and profitability almost from the very beginning. Zalando Payments GmbH (ZPS) provides over 50 million customers across 25 European markets with a variety of locally relevant payment options, supporting our broader convenience proposition through partnerships. We aim to deepen customer relationships with locally competitive payment options (20+ payment methods) that ensure a seamless shopping experience.

As Senior Partner Manager (Payments), you will be responsible for onboarding new partners, managing existing relationships, and enhancing our cooperation from a commercial and product perspective. The ideal candidate has experience working with Payment Service Providers and in Product Management. This role reports to the Head of Product Management.

• Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance cooperation with existing partners and explore new partnerships.
• Stakeholder Management: Maintain a strong network with partners, facilitate structured relationship management, lead large meetings like Business Reviews, and communicate transparently to achieve project success.
• Enabling Decision-Making: Prepare and present strategic documents for senior management, approaching problems with a logical, pragmatic mindset, and evaluating options against costs.
• Financial Planning: Support Product Management and Finance in cost planning, budgeting, and cost improvement initiatives.
• Negotiations: Set terms and conditions to ensure positive and commercially viable partnerships.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• You have experience in payments, such as working for a Payment Service Provider, payment consulting, or a large merchant/marketplace.
• You enjoy managing external partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
• Negotiation is a strength, with experience in agreements and SLAs.
• You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, familiar with Product Management and technical discussions about partner integrations.
