Senior Operations Manager (m / f / x)

As a Senior Operations Manager you are responsible for the strategic direction, coordination and evaluation of your area of responsibilities. You ensure the effective running of the production and warehouse operations during the shift, leading a team of Shift Leads, whilst being held accountable for production schedules, adherence to quality and safety standards and optimizing operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, improve productivity, and meet production goals. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail and ability to drive continuous improvement will contribute to the success of our organization.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a team of Shift Leads and Area Managers on shift to consistently achieve and exceed all shift Key Performance Indicators on time through effective coaching, collaboration and performance management.
• Own the operational performance within your designated shift. This includes ensuring smooth workflow, optimizing resource utilization to consistently meet production targets, and fostering close collaboration across all departments.
• Champion clear communication: Proactively keep stakeholders informed and facilitate collaboration across departments.
• Fostering a positive work environment that promotes productivity, teamwork, and employee engagement.
• Continuously improve and optimize operational processes, actively identifying and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience (5+years) in a manufacturing or distribution centre / operational environment.
• Strong experience with managing large scale operations with multiple management tiers.
• Demonstrates strong track record of team leadership with a large scale rapid and process driven environment.
• Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, from peers to upper leadership.
• Relevant experience in performing advanced data analysis with tools like Excel / GSheets / Grafana / Tableau and using the data to influence business decisions.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively across departments.
• A long-term mindset, committed to business impact.
• Fluent in German and English
• You are willing to work in 3-shifts operation, are highly motivated, flexible and a team player
