Job summary

osapiens is seeking a Senior Onboarding Consultant to lead complex supplier intelligence onboarding projects in a hybrid model (3 days in office). You will own scoping, data integration, training, and a smooth go-live for large accounts across Mannheim, Munich or Madrid.

• Several years of project experience in SaaS implementation or consulting with full responsibility for the customer.
• Working knowledge of supplier processes: onboarding, qualification, risk assessment, audits, corrective actions.
• Understanding of data models, interfaces and configuration; ERP and supplier master data a plus.
• Ability to standardise; turn repeated tasks into reusable packages.
• Budget and scope discipline; clearly state engagement limits to avoid creep.
• Business-fluent English; German and/or Spanish a strong plus.
• Low travel (<10%), onboarding largely remote.

Responsibilities

Why this role exists

We are replacing external implementation capacity with senior know-how that stays in the house. This role takes our large and complex Supplier Intelligence and Procurement customers live — on time, inside budget, and without the project quietly expanding.

You lead customers rather than serve them: you decide the sequence, push back on scope that does not serve the go-live, and leave the team better than you found it.

What you will do:

• Run complex onboardings end to end. Scoping, configuration, data integration, key-user training, go-live and a documented handover to Customer Success — for our largest and most complex accounts.
• Own effort and budget. Estimate realistically, stay inside the booked hours, and when you see overconsumption coming, trigger the follow-up sale with CS and Sales instead of quietly continuing to deliver.
• Make the next project cheaper. Build onboarding packages, checklists and self-service content (an eLearning instead of a session) for the standard use cases in your area, and use the Solution Expert's enablement material consistently.
• Coach the team. Review project plans and configurations from more junior consultants, step in on difficult customer situations, and give the feedback that feeds the skill matrix.
• Work with the Solution Expert. Escalate genuine edge cases, and play patterns back — recurring questions, product gaps. You are not a stand-in Solution Expert.
• Build the customer relationship with decision-makers during the onboarding and hand it over to CS with the stakeholder map documented.

Roughly how the role splits: 70 % your own customer onboardings, 15 % coaching and review, 10 % standardisation, 5 % collaboration with the Solution Expert.

What you bring:

• Several years of project experience in SaaS implementation or consulting in supplier management, procurement or supply chain compliance — with full responsibility for the customer, not just a workstream.
• Working knowledge of supplier processes: onboarding and qualification, risk assessment, audits, corrective actions — and of the regulation behind them (LkSG, CSDDD).
• Solid understanding of data models, interfaces and configuration — no coding required. Experience with ERP and supplier master data is a strong plus.
• The instinct to standardise. You notice when you are doing the same thing for the third time and turn it into a package.
• Budget and scope discipline: you state the limits of the engagement clearly to the customer rather than absorbing scope creep.
• Business-fluent English. German and/or Spanish a strong plus.
• Low travel: below 10 %; onboardings run largely remote.
