Tasks

• Planning and designing and integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient codes.
• Participate actively in technical discussions and presentations with fellow engineers inside and outside your team.
• Implementation of security and data protection.
• Build on strong fundamentals such as pragmatism and state-of-the-art technology.
• Take end-to-end ownership of your solution from design to release.

Requirements

• Several years of proven software development experience
• Industry experience developing JavaScript backend applications
• Experience designing and delivering APIs and backend services meeting industry standards and complying to internal SLAs
• You have a deep understanding and are experienced in writing clean, maintainable code in Node.js
• Understands the importance of a well organized codebase and documentation
• You are highly self-organized and interested in taking over ownership and bringing the team to the best solution
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Business Informatics or equivalency in relevant work experience

Nice to haves

• Experience with frontend frameworks (like React)
• DevOps experience: Kubernetes, Serverless, Modern approaches to CI/CD
• Cloud knowledge: Event driven architectures, Cloud native patterns, Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform’s service landscape
• Public GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket account with demonstrable coding projects
• Experience in the real estate industry/ financial industry, ideally in Prob Tech
