Qualifikationen

In your hands :

• Operation and further development of the IP router platform (Nokia 7750 service router and Cisco NCS5700) and the DWDM platform (Ribbon)
• Evaluation and assessment of new solutions for the further development of the science network
• Participation in the automation of network operation
• Advising and supporting universities and research institutions with regard to DFN-Verein's network services
• Coordination and cooperation with internal and external service providers
• Maintenance of network and service documentation
• Participation in the on-call service (2nd line)

Ideally, you bring this with you :

• Vocational training or a degree in a technical or scientific field
• field or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the service provider or data center environment
• In-depth knowledge and several years of practical experience in the areas of routing and switching (MPLS, BGP, ISIS, OSPF and VPN) or ROADM-based optical transport networks (DWDM, OTN)
• Experience with the secure operation of networks in accordance with ISO 27001 or BSI IT-Grundschutz)
• Very good German and good English skills
