This role is based in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we provide deep technical and industry expertise to a diverse range of public and private sector clients globally. Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior Mobile Developer (Android), you will lead the development and delivery of mobile applications for the IBM Health Platform or similar enterprise-scale projects. You will oversee multiple teams throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, innovation, and strategic alignment.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Pioneering mobile solutions using the latest technologies to add business value and meet user needs.
• Driving continuous improvement through testing and agile development practices.
• Implementing the latest technology trends to build innovative solutions.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

• Leading mobile architecture decisions and best practices (Kotlin, Kotlin Multiplatform, Jetpack Compose, etc.).
• Mentoring and supporting developers through documentation and code reviews.
• Building, testing, and deploying native Android applications.
• Implementing secure backend communication following best practices.
• Promoting Security by Design principles and participating in penetration testing.
• Extensive experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and shared SDKs for Android and iOS.
• Understanding of S.O.L.I.D principles and clean architecture.
• Ensuring compliance with industry security standards (OWASP, OpenId, AES, etc.).
• Navigating government and regulatory development constraints.
• Collaborating with clients and teams to translate business needs into mobile solutions.
• Driving innovation and continuous improvement.
• Managing CI/CD pipelines with Github Actions.
• Fluent German language skills are mandatory.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Knowledge of the German health insurance system.
• Experience with gematik standards, including TI, ePA, and eRezept.
• Strong understanding of GDPR and German healthcare data regulations.
