King makes great games that offer fun, bite-size entertainment experiences for everyone to enjoy! We have a new opportunity for an enthusiastic MLOps Engineer to join our Level Automation team.

Our game studios aim to deliver the best levels and game experiences to our players. You will join a team that enables Machine Learning (ML) and Automation initiatives to support this goal. We are building the technological foundations necessary for ML products to scale reliably and remain maintainable long-term.

We seek a great teammate who can contribute to backend engineering, data engineering, and cloud engineering within our stack. Our technologies include Python, BigQuery, Airflow, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, and internal tools developed by our central ML Platform and Data Warehouse teams.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge in operating ML systems and can assist ML engineers in designing and building robust end-to-end ML products. While ML modeling and data analysis are not daily tasks, a basic understanding is expected to collaborate effectively with ML engineers.

Your role within the Kingdom

• Translate business needs into technical requirements, and build scalable solutions supporting ML models and automation initiatives related to levels.
• Assess requirements from cross-disciplinary Game teams and collaborate to develop data and ML solutions.
• Design scalable, efficient, high-quality tools to inform operations and support business and game design decisions.

Skills to create thrills

Experience

• Experience building API-first services and applications.
• Experience developing end-to-end data and ML pipelines.
• Basic experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other ML frameworks.
• Experience working with solutions from major public cloud providers, preferably Google Cloud Platform.

Knowledge & degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research.

• Engineering skills in Python, including backend practices like documentation, library packaging, versioning, and testing.
• Experience orchestrating data pipelines using Airflow.
• Containerizing workloads and deploying on Kubernetes (GKE).
• Proficiency with GCP data and ML products such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Vertex AI.

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of real-time data products like Google Dataproc, PySpark, Spark.
• Knowledge of Java.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and ArgoCD.
