Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with experience from conceptual stage through detailed design, commissioning, and qualification? We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. With excellent people skills, you have a proven ability to work in partnership at all levels. The projects will include a diverse mix in the Biopharma, Pharmaceutical, and Life Sciences sectors across the DACH region.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate Mechanical Design Team to achieve project deliverables.
2. Own equipment modules and packages through design and procurement phases.
3. Generate Data Sheets, Material Requisitions, and Enquiry Packages for procurement of equipment.
4. Develop Technical Bid Tab evaluations of vendors in compliance with client specifications.
5. Create Technical Specifications in line with client requirements.
6. Manage each package through kick-off meetings, design reviews, FATs, etc.
7. Project manage suppliers to ensure packages are designed, manufactured, and tested as per project requirements.
8. Interface with clients, vendors, project management, and other disciplines to ensure high-quality service.
9. Collaborate with client design teams/end users for mechanical optimization and site support.
10. Deliver the agreed design scope within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (consideration given to candidates with Chemical/Process Engineering degrees and relevant process experience).
• 10+ years of design experience in the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical sectors.
• Experience in design and package management of process equipment on API, Fill Finish, or Biopharma projects.
• Self-starter with confidence in coordinating teams.
• Strong communication skills, including leading technical reviews with clients and suppliers.
• Chartered status desirable.
• Willingness to travel within the DACH region.
• Professional proficiency in English and German.
