TECHNE is supporting a rapidly growing defence technology company developing AI-enabled autonomous systems, unmanned platforms and battlefield robotics. They are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of how these systems are physically designed, integrated, tested and built.

You will own mechanical integration across UAVs, payloads, avionics and sensors; hands-on role covering the full product lifecycle from CAD to production and flight trials.

Qualifikationen

• Mechanical design experience in UAVs, aerospace, robotics, defence or similar high-performance hardware
• Strong 3D CAD experience and capability to take hardware from concept to production
• Experience integrating hardware through prototypes, testing and manufacture
• Knowledge of materials, tolerancing and manufacturing processes

• Design lightweight avionics enclosures, payload structures, interfaces and mechanisms
• Develop thermal solutions for compact electronics and embedded systems

The business is moving from advanced prototypes into operational deployment and higher-volume production. They are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of how these systems are physically designed, integrated, tested and built.

Work Policy: Onsite

The Role:

You will own the mechanical integration of autonomy technology across UAVs, payloads, avionics, sensors and supporting ground systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role covering the full product lifecycle, from early concepts and CAD through prototypes, flight trials, operational testing and production.

Your work will directly influence platform performance, reliability and how future systems move into repeatable manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design lightweight avionics enclosures, payload structures, interfaces and mechanisms.

Experience Required:

• Experience taking hardware from concept through prototyping, testing and manufacture.
• Strong understanding of materials, tolerancing and manufacturing processes.
• Comfortable working hands-on with physical hardware.
