PT Merdeka Copper Gold Mining Company is an Indonesian mining company specializing in copper and gold mining, with a long-term expected mine life supported by processing stockpiles.
To support our mining operations and expansion projects, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the following position:
SENIOR MANAGER PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with relevant qualifications; minimum 12+ years’ experience in similar roles involving field construction project management, multi-unit development, or related fields;
- Experience in ground-up construction is required; mining industry construction experience is preferred;
- Experience managing project scopes with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $1,000,000 million dollars;
- Middle-level operational inspector certificate (POM) or KaIT-recognized qualifications in accordance with the position level;
- Ability to read and analyze Architectural, MEP, and Structural drawings;
- Strong leadership, organizational, scheduling, and time management skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment managing multiple project timelines;
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, and computer literacy;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including architects, designers, construction teams, and local authorities;
- High professionalism, work ethic, and the ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and produce quality work;
- Commitment to safety and maintaining international safety standards in Indonesian mining operations, with a proactive safety approach and community respect;
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading teams to deliver projects across multiple business units, managing issues, risks, and change requests to ensure successful, timely delivery;
- Engaging project teams in site-specific due diligence and providing negotiation guidance to mitigate risks and maximize value;
- Planning, directing, and coordinating project activities to meet goals within prescribed timelines;
- Managing pre-construction, due diligence, and field construction processes, including scheduling, tracking progress, reviewing reports, and recommending actions;
- Overseeing project budgets from inception through construction, utilizing historical data, cost indexing, and value engineering;
- Maintaining and updating project schedules using company software;
- Identifying and minimizing risks related to procurement, value engineering, and cost reduction throughout project lifecycles;
- Managing external communications with consultants, permit expediters, landlords, utility providers, and city officials;
- Supporting design and procurement teams to reduce timelines and increase productivity;
- Participating in cross-functional meetings to support operational rollout initiatives;
- Preparing and presenting project status reports regularly;
- Coordinating with third-party manufacturers and distributors to ensure timely production and shipment.
