Head of Marketing & Sales International

The University of Applied Sciences for Management (HdWM) is a state-recognized private university in Mannheim accredited by the German Council of Science. Since 2011, HdWM offers practice-oriented bachelor's and master's programs in management, business psychology, and social work, in German and English. HdWM maintains a broad network of companies and universities to provide practical and international experience, and is a member of the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft.

The IB University of Applied Sciences is a private, state-recognized university based in Berlin with study centers in Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, and Stuttgart. It offers diverse programs in health and social sciences, available full-time and part-time.

The universities seek a Senior Manager (m/f/d) as Head of Marketing & Sales, full-time, as soon as possible. Do you want to lead and develop the universities' marketing and sales efforts nationally and internationally?

  • Revenue Growth & Market Expansion: Lead development and execution of recruitment strategies to maximize revenue through increased student enrollments, especially in Germany and Eastern Europe.
  • Domestic Student Recruitment Strategy: Design targeted marketing campaigns to attract domestic students, optimizing conversion at each recruitment stage.
  • Lead Generation & Funnel Optimization: Develop initiatives to enlarge the recruitment funnel using digital and traditional channels, and refine tactics for better conversion.
  • Competition Analysis & Market Intelligence: Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to identify opportunities and threats, providing strategic insights.
  • Go-to-Market Leadership: Lead strategies for new and existing programs, ensuring alignment with market demand.
  • Cross-functional and International Collaboration: Collaborate with international teams to ensure consistent messaging and leverage synergies.
  • Sales Strategy & Goal Setting: Define and monitor sales goals, adjusting strategies based on analytics.
  • Brand Development & Market Positioning: Position the universities as leading global players, strengthening brand awareness and image.
  • Marketing Performance Review: Evaluate campaign effectiveness to ensure ROI and economic targets.

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of sales leadership experience, preferably in international education, with proven success in enrollment and revenue growth strategies.
  • Completed studies in marketing, business administration, business psychology, or a comparable degree.
  • Excellent knowledge of international marketing concepts, sales techniques, and concepts.
  • Proven strategic and conceptual experience in international marketing and sales.
  • Fluent in English (C2) and German (C1–C2).
  • Willing to travel and work with international teams.
  • Skilled in setting KPIs and sales targets, and monitoring performance via CRM and analytics tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience in strengthening brand presence across digital and offline channels.
  • Experience with private universities with a strong commercial orientation and entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in fast-changing environments.
