Simon-Kucher is seeking an experienced leader for our Insurance Practice in Germany. You will drive complex commercial strategy and transformation engagements, solving challenging problems with a hands-on approach and delivering measurable client impact.

You will mentor junior colleagues and help grow our global insurance capabilities. You will advise insurers on go-to-market strategy, pricing, product management, and digital initiatives, while managing multi‑discipline teams and client

• Several years of experience in management consulting or commercial strategy/transformation within insurance.
• Strong ability to structure and solve complex business problems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication with senior leaders.
• Hands-on mindset with proven delivery of measurable client impact.
• Fluency in German and English; willingness to travel as required.

How You Will Create An Impact

• You lead complex commercial strategy and transformation engagements from problem definition through implementation, delivering measurable impact for clients.


• You structure and solve ambiguous business challenges, challenge conventional thinking, and translate insights into pragmatic, actionable recommendations.


• You advise insurance clients on commercial excellence topics, including go‑to‑market strategy, sales and distribution, customer journeys, digital and AI strategy, product management, and pricing.


• You manage project teams and workstreams, overseeing budgets, timelines, quality, and delivery to ensure successful project outcomes.


• You build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor and communicating confidently across all levels of the organization.


• You lead, coach, and develop junior team members while contributing to business development initiatives and the continued growth of the Insurance Practice.

About You

• You bring several years of relevant experience in management consulting or in a commercial strategy or transformation role within the insurance industry and a good understanding of key market dynamics and industry‑specific challenges.


• You have a proven track record of leading complex projects and teams, demonstrating strong ownership and a disciplined approach to delivery.


• You apply a structured problem‑solving approach and thrive in uncertain and evolving environments, navigating complexity with confidence.


• You combine a hands‑on, pragmatic mindset with strong analytical capabilities and sound commercial judgement.


• You communicate confidently with senior stakeholders and excel at building trusted, long‑lasting relationships.
