Job summary

Simon‑Kucher is seeking an experienced leader to drive the Insurance Practice’s growth in Germany. You will combine commercial excellence with strong project management, manage cross‑functional teams, and solve complex problems in uncertain situations.

You will lead engagements from definition to implementation, advise on go‑to‑market and pricing, and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders while mentoring junior colleagues. Hybrid work with international opportunities is available.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in management consulting or in a commercial strategy or transformation role within the insurance industry.
• Proven track record leading complex projects and teams with strong ownership and delivery discipline.
• Structured problem‑solving approach; thrives in uncertain environments.
• Hands‑on, pragmatic mindset with strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders and ability to build trust.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; willing to identify opportunities and drive growth.
• Fluent in German and English; willing to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex commercial strategy and transformation engagements from problem definition through implementation, delivering measurable impact for clients.
• Structure and solve ambiguous business challenges, challenge conventional thinking, and translate insights into pragmatic recommendations.
• Advise insurance clients on go‑to‑market strategy, sales and distribution, customer journeys, digital and AI strategy, product management, and pricing.
• Manage project teams and workstreams, overseeing budgets, timelines, quality, and delivery to ensure successful outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and communicate confidently across all levels.
• Lead, coach, and develop junior team members while contributing to business development and growth of the Insurance Practice.

• You have a proven track record of leading complex projects and teams, demonstrating strong ownership and a disciplined approach to delivery.


• You apply a structured problem‑solving approach and thrive in uncertain and evolving environments, navigating complexity with confidence.
