This is a full-time, permanent role in Technical Operations Management / Executives.

Role Overview: We seek an experienced leader to oversee global programs related to industrial hygiene, hazardous materials management, and business continuity. This strategic position ensures compliance, process safety, and emergency preparedness across all international sites, supporting sustainable and resilient pharmaceutical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead global HSE governance, process and plant safety, compliance, and hazardous substances management.
  2. Manage and develop the Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, ensuring emergency preparedness and integration with critical infrastructure requirements.
  3. Act as the primary HSE liaison for insurance matters and regulatory authorities, optimizing risk management and cost control.
  4. Develop, maintain, and audit standards for hazardous substances handling, storage, disposal, and industrial hygiene.
  5. Provide leadership in process and plant safety, including ATEX safety guidelines and compliance audits.
  6. Oversee global HSE audits, standardize processes, and address systemic risks.
  7. Guide and evaluate global HSE projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  8. Support and lead site and regional HSE managers worldwide.
  9. Drive the development and implementation of the STADA HSE program, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in a comparable role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
  • Proven experience in hazardous material management, working with authorities, and leading audits.
  • Knowledge of KRITIS, SEWESO, or HSE standards is essential.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills across diverse hierarchies and countries.
  • Recognized HSE certifications (e.g., FaSi, OSHA) are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and 14001 standards; BCM experience is beneficial.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are desirable but not required.
