The fact that Pfizer's Zaventem Logistics Center is just a stone's throw from the international airport is no coincidence. This strategic location makes it the hub for the distribution of Pfizer medicines for Europe and far beyond.
The fact that the logistics center is one of Pfizer's largest distribution centers in the world is also due to numerous innovative solutions. And, of course, a strong team of committed employees.

Accountable for the global strategy, management, and performance of global customs services. Ensure the design, maintenance and implementation of standards and governance for our customs outsourced activities. He / She will collaborate and work with Global Procurement, Global Transportation Services and Global Trade Compliance to procure services, establish agreements and mange contracts related to customs services. Accountable for identifying opportunities and designing and implementing customs operational solutions that generate business value. Leads operational customs projects across multiple regions, overseeing resources, schedules, and finances throughout their life cycle. Manages issues, risks, and change requests to ensure timely and successful project delivery. The incumbent will ultimately report to the Customs and Compliance Lead and serve on the Customs & Compliance Leadership Team. Additionally, will collaborate with the LT to drive the T2 Blueprint, sponsor specific initiatives, and be an integral part of the T2 Leadership Ecosystem.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree international trade, supply chain logistics or related field and 7 - 10 years of experience of import and / or export, vendor management and other trade compliance operations preferably in a pharmaceutical industry, consultancy services.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, including tracking, planning and implementation projects.
  • Expert knowledge of import and export regulations, customs laws, trade sanctions, embargoes, licensing requirements and trade agreements such as free trade agreements and preferential trade arrangements.
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spit change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross functional environment.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with internal and external regulatory audit programs.
  • Experience with leading, executing and maintaining Compliance programs.
  • Ability to prioritize, quickly synthesize information and apply regulatory requirements to a variety of scenarios.
  • Must exercise excellent judgment, make decisions based on a clear understanding of the regulations, deploying strategies to conduct compliant business.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship - building skills as well, problem - solving, decision - making and presentation capabilities.
  • Creative, curious and adaptive learner willing to seek out continuous improvement opportunities while minimizing business risk and driving the Company to meet objectives across multiple areas.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree.
  • At least 3-5 years in leadership roles. Ability to lead customs operations and compliance team with a leadership approach that energizes, motivates and facilitate teamwork while encouraging innovative ideas, approaches and accountability.
  • SAP GTS Knowledge.
  • Professional trade certifications or similar.
  • PMP certified.
  • Proven track record driving positive change in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrate strong problem - solving skills based on facts, data and understanding of the regulatory requirement in complex and evolving environments;
  • Must be able to apply sound risk management.
  • Able to handle organizational complexity and ambiguity.
