Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Manager Contract Logistics - Germany/Eastern Europe (m/f/d) to join our team. The role can be based anywhere in Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects and sites, including turnaround management in critical business situations such as ramp-ups, turnarounds, or project phases.
Your responsibilities:
- Manage crucial projects and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring adherence to project plans, monitoring progress, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and controlling expenses to ensure compliance with the approved budget.
- Drive operational site management and serve as an interface to customers.
- Oversee daily operations and projects to ensure smooth running, including financials, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and motivate staff to achieve high performance, especially in challenging circumstances.
- Evaluate current operational processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to budgeted revenue and operating income goals, maintaining fiscal discipline in line with industry standards.
- Analyze financial performance indicators and make adjustments to ensure site profitability.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering, logistics, or business administration.
- Profound knowledge of economic, commercial, and political issues affecting business and projects, with the ability to adapt to changing environments.
- 5+ years’ experience leading contract logistics operations in a global multinational company.
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance, and collaboratively within multicultural teams. Personable, organized, and helpful.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel 50%-75% across the region to operations and clients.
