Senior Machine Learning Engineer m/f/d

Munich | full time | unlimited

Your responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning models for internal and customer use cases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing products.
• Train and fine-tune AI models, focusing on performance and precision
• Deploy models on local GPU hardware, including profiling and optimization
• Develop data processing pipelines and prepare data for NLP training
• Enhance model performance by integrating external knowledge sources
• Deploy AI models in production and monitor their performance
• Maintain and improve AI systems to meet performance standards
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting systems
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders
• Mentor junior AI engineers and data scientists
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Work with large datasets for training and validation
• Preprocess and augment data to improve models
• Ensure data security and integrity
• Stay updated with AI advancements and conduct research
• Propose and implement innovative AI solutions

Your capabilities:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• At least 10 years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in enterprise AI solutions
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or relevant languages
• Proficiency with data analysis and ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
• Experience with AI inference frameworks
• Deep understanding of NLP, Transformer architectures, LLMs, Generative AI, CNNs
• Proficiency in retrieval-augmented techniques for generative tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Open, proactive, and innovative mindset
