Location: United States (Remote)

Salary: $186.1K–$218.9K + bonus + equity + benefits

Type: Full-time

Overview:

Join Coinbase's AI Platform team to build centralized AI infrastructure and intelligent features that power company-wide productivity and user-facing tools. You’ll work on systems leveraging LLMs, GNNs, and other ML models to improve recommendations, chatbots, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable ML systems, pipelines, and models (e.g. LLMs, GNNs)
• Drive end-to-end execution of AI/ML projects and define strategic roadmaps
• Write high-quality Python code and implement robust, secure, and testable systems
• Collaborate across teams to embed AI solutions in core product workflows
• Mentor team members and establish high technical standards

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in ML and software engineering
• Hands-on with production ML systems, data processing, and model deployment
• Expertise in at least one ML technique (LLMs, GNNs, DL, etc.)
• Strong coding (Python), testing, and architectural design skills
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally and mentoring engineers

Nice to Have:

• Degrees in CS, ML, Statistics, or related fields
• Experience with GenAI tools, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Databricks, etc.
• Understanding of responsible AI and model interpretability
