ANEXIA Inc. is seeking a remote-enabled Linux expert to manage large-scale server environments across continents. The role involves planning, operating, installing and maintaining server infrastructure, with emphasis on KVM virtualization, hardware coordination and automation.

You will work independently with ownership mindset, collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Excellent German and good English are required for successful communication.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Linux skills with Debian/Ubuntu or derivatives.
• Experience operating virtualized environments (KVM).
• Knowledge of networking (switching, routing, VLAN, monitoring).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, Lenovo, HPE): troubleshooting, firmware management, automation.
• Scripting in Bash and Python and automation tooling (Ansible).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; ownership mindset.
• Excellent German and good English skills.

Your Tasks

• Planning, operation, installation, configuration, and maintenance of netcup’s server infrastructure
• Responsibility for operating virtualized environments (KVM) and close coordination with network and hardware teams
• Implementation of improvements to optimize system performance and customer experience
• Ensuring operational stability, security, and quality
• Collaboration with internal teams as well as external service providers and hardware suppliers
• Support in handling incidents, including troubleshooting, resolution, and sustainable prevention

Your Profile

• Expert-level Linux skills (preferably Debian / Ubuntu or related derivatives)
• Experience in operating virtualized environments (KVM)
• Knowledge of networking (switching, routing, VLAN, monitoring)
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, Lenovo, HPE): troubleshooting, firmware management, automation
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Systematic, independent work style with a strong sense of ownership
• Excellent German and good English skills
