The Cue Group GmbH in Berlin-Reinickendorf is seeking a Senior Lighting Technician to take technical charge of lighting on projects, including planning, setup, live support, and sign-off. You will lead the lighting team of permanent staff and freelancers, plan deployments, and coordinate with project management and clients.

The Cue Group is looking for a Senior Lighting Technician based in Berlin-Reinickendorf, full-time, permanent. You take technical charge of lighting on projects: planning, setup, live support, and sign-off. You manage the lighting team of permanent staff and freelancers, planning their deployment. You create lighting concepts, plans, and rigging plans in coordination with project management and clients, program and operate lighting consoles such as grandMA and Avolites, and ensure technically sound and safe execution, including compliance with relevant regulations and inspection requirements. On site, you are the technical point of contact for clients and other trades. You also manage the lighting equipment inventory: condition, maintenance, upgrades, and investment recommendations. You onboard and develop junior staff and apprentices.

Requirements

• completed training as an Event Technology Specialist or equivalent qualification, ideally with a Master Craftsman certification in event technology, plus several years of hands-on experience in live lighting with proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role on projects
• confident programming and operation of standard lighting consoles
• solid knowledge of electrical engineering, rigging, power supply, and relevant safety regulations
• strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to keep a team calm under pressure
• customer-focused and entrepreneurial mindset
• Class B drivers license required, Class C1 a plus
