Job Description:

At Buena we are building the best property management software on the market: web-based, intuitive, easy to learn, and constantly evolving. Additionally, we acquire property management companies and integrate our software there to increase revenues and profits. As Buenas Senior Legal Counsel you will join the legal department consisting of three fully qualified lawyers, with two of them working mostly in M&A.

• Own all legal matters of the company with a focus on real estate law, corporate law, labor law, data protection, regulatory as well as other areas of law and legal operations
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal best practices across the company and its over 20 subsidiaries
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Lead risk management initiatives to proactively identify and mitigate legal risks
• Provide legal support in labor and employment matters, ensuring alignment with the company's policies
• Manage relationships with external law firms, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality legal support
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including commercial, partnership, employee and vendor contracts
• Learn through osmosis and collaborate cross-functionally to educate and train teams on legal and regulatory requirements
• Keep the company up-to-date on changing laws, regulations, and industry standards
• 3+ years of legal experience within an international and fast paced context, ideally in both law firm and in-house counsel settings
• German Second State Exam and ideally admission to the bar
• Perfectly fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
• Proven track record of advising on complex legal matters in fast-paced, international environments
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive favorable outcomes in high-stakes situations
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in working autonomously and leading legal strategies with limited oversight
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Capable and willing to build your own legal team over time
• Live close to the office bonus of up to 500€/month
