We acquire property management companies and integrate our software to increase revenues and profits. As Buena's Senior Legal Counsel, you will join the legal department, which consists of three fully qualified lawyers, two of whom focus primarily on M&A.
About the Role
- Own all legal matters of the company, focusing on real estate law, corporate law, labor law, data protection, regulatory issues, and other legal areas and operations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal best practices across the company and its over 20 subsidiaries.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Lead risk management initiatives to proactively identify and mitigate legal risks.
- Provide legal support in labor and employment matters, ensuring alignment with company policies.
- Manage relationships with external law firms, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality legal support.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including commercial, partnership, employment, and vendor contracts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to educate and train teams on legal and regulatory requirements.
- Keep the company updated on changing laws, regulations, and industry standards.
About You
- 3+ years of legal experience in an international and fast-paced environment, ideally in both law firm and in-house counsel roles.
- German Second State Exam and preferably admission to the bar.
- Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
- Proven track record advising on complex legal matters in fast-paced, international settings.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to achieve favorable outcomes in high-stakes situations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in working autonomously and leading legal strategies with limited oversight.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Willing and capable of building your own legal team over time.
