Qualifikationen

  • Qualified lawyer with 7+ years’ experience in product counselling and privacy law.
  • Advanced knowledge of technology legal issues in the EU and UK.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German or other European languages are a plus.

The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio

This position can be hybrid office-based from Germany, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, or the UK.

Bring your knowledge. Be a partner. Join our Finance, Strategy, & Legal team to investigate problems, define solutions, and guide decisions as Personio’s co-pilots.

To support us and fuel our growth, Personio seeks a dynamic and experienced Product Counsel to shape and scale our legal product offerings, ensure compliance, and provide legal solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop our SaaS HR solutions.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  1. Act as a legal business partner for Product and Engineering, proactively identifying legal issues during product development.
  2. Manage Personio’s day-to-day product queries, drafting FAQs, guidelines, and training materials.
  3. Advise on marketing and advertising laws compliance for product launches and features.
  4. Work with our Partnerships team on negotiating, drafting, and advising on partnerships.
  5. Support the brand by advising on intellectual property.
  6. Apply EU and UK privacy laws to identify privacy risks and embed a ‘privacy by design’ approach.
  7. Stay informed on legal trends and developments in technology, employment law, privacy, and AI through continuous training and education.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  1. Qualified lawyer with at least 7 years’ experience in product counselling, privacy, and technology.
  2. Advanced knowledge of technology legal issues in the EU and UK.
  3. Ability to independently analyze complex legal issues and evaluate risks.
  4. Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Proficiency with legal tools like Jira, GSuite, etc.
  6. Strong ability to build trust and influence stakeholders.
  7. Excellent communication skills in English; German or other European languages are a plus.
