Job summary

Qualifications

• German Bar Exam (Second State Examination) required.
• Minimum 8 years of in-house legal experience in the automotive industry, 10+ years in legal field.
• Fluent in German and English.

• Ability to prioritize and manage varying deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and conduct research on laws, regulations, and policies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts (national & international).
• Draft guidelines, policies, and contract templates.
• Review marketing materials and campaigns for compliance.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities and liaise with HQ Legal Team.
• Manage disputes and engage external counsels as needed.
• Advise sales, after-sales, finance, tax, HR and other departments.
• Oversee corporate governance matters.

We are looking for a passionate Senior Legal Counsel responsible for our German Automotive Business in a highly dynamic and international environment. The position will be based in Munich, Germany.

You will especially support sales and after-sales related legal matters of the automotive business of Xiaomi with your proven expertise and pragmatic, business oriented and pro-active advice. The ideal candidate may develop into a team leader role in the automotive business of Germany.

Your Job:

• Legal Advice and Research on Laws, Regulations and Policies
• Draft, Review and Negotiate a wide variety of national and international contracts
• Drafting of Guidelines, Policies and Contract Templates
• Review of Marketing Material and Marketing Campaigns
• Communication with Regulatory Authorities
• Coordination of Disputes and Claims, including managing external counsels
• Support and Advice for sales, after-sales, finance, tax, HR and other departments
• Corporate Governance Matters
• Liaison with HQ Legal Team

Your Profile:

• German Bar Exam (Second State Examination);
• Minimum 8 years of experience gained as an in-house lawyer in the automotive industry, minimum 10 years of experience in the legal field;
