A leading financial services firm is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel - Assistant Vice President to join their Frankfurt team. The role involves providing legal advice across financial services and supporting various businesses in the EMEA region. Ideal candidates will be German-qualified lawyers with experience in legal matters related to financial institutions, possessing strong communication and problem-solving skills.
The Legal Department of J.P. Morgan Chase (JPMC) is responsible for the provision of legal services to the J.P. Morgan legal entities and is organized by Practice Groups that conform to the organization of JPMC’s lines of business and internal functions. This structure encourages legal teams to communicate legal and regulatory changes to the businesses and internal functions and for the lines of business and internal functions to communicate business developments that have legal or regulatory implications to the legal teams in a timely manner.
As an Assistant Vice President attorney within our Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) Legal team, you will be responsible for providing legal advice to the internal functions and lines of business operated by JPMC across the European Economic Area and EMEA region more generally. You will report to the Frankfurt-based lawyer in CIB Legal who, together with their team, is responsible for advising the Securities Services and Payments businesses.
