Job summary

Lucanet is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel in Germany to own commercial contract negotiation, corporate matters and day-to-day legal support for our B2B SaaS business. You will help Sales, Product and Finance close deals fast while protecting Lucanet's interests.

This is a hybrid, senior individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Legal. You will work with external counsel and notaries across jurisdictions and support an international group with multiple entities.

Qualifications

• Negotiated and closed end-to-end commercial contracts in a SaaS/tech context.
• Drafted and negotiated complex contracts in German and English.
• Applied German corporate and contract law to practical business advice.

Responsibilities

The role and the team

As a Senior Legal Counsel (all genders) at Lucanet in Germany, you own commercial contract negotiation, corporate legal matters and day-to-day legal support for our B2B SaaS business. You help Sales, Product and Finance close deals fast while protecting Lucanet's interests. This is a hybrid, senior individual contributor role. You report into the Director of Legal and work closely with colleagues across Sales, Product, Finance, People and other core functions. You support an international group with multiple legal entities, together with external counsel and notaries. We look for people who keep growing, take real ownership, and lift the people around them.

What you'll do

• Lead negotiation, drafting and closing of customer agreements, NDAs and partnership agreements in German and English.
• Partner with Sales and Product to close deals quickly while protecting Lucanet's commercial and legal interests.
• Manage contract workflows and handle day-to-day legal requests from the business through our internal ticket flow.
• Coordinate legal entity requirements across jurisdictions, including regulatory filings, governance documentation and register updates.
• Work with external counsel and notaries on jurisdiction-specific corporate and commercial matters.
• Support due diligence and selected transactions by preparing legal documentation and coordinating information requests.
• Improve legal workflows, documentation standards, contract templates and legal operations.
• Balance commercial speed with legal accuracy, so deals move forward without unnecessary friction.

What you bring

• Negotiated and closed commercial contracts end to end (customer agreements, NDAs, MFAs, partnership agreements) in a SaaS or technology business.
• Drafted and negotiated contracts confidently in German and English.
• Applied German corporate law and contract law in practical, business-facing advice.
• Owned legal topics independently from start to finish with a structured, detail-oriented approach.
• Prioritized commercial and corporate legal work in parallel and kept deals moving without losing legal rigor.
• Built trust with Sales, Product and Finance as a pragmatic, service-oriented legal partner.
• Coordinated external counsel and notaries across jurisdictions in a multi-entity, international setup.
• Used AI or legal tech tools to speed up contract review and legal workflows.
• Advanced German skills, written and spoken, and have negotiated and drafted contracts in German.
