This role focuses on building and maintaining front-end and backend services, designing SQL queries, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance academic planning tools. Your tasks Build and maintain applications focusing on academic data and module handbooks. Debug multi-stack distributed system running on both JVM and Node.js. Reverse-engineer legacy application to understand and fix user pain points. Design and implement robust SQL queries and data models to drive planning intelligence. Use Linux command tools to tackle occasional tasks related to deployment / maintenance. Collaborate deeply with product managers, product owners, tech leads, and other stakeholders to shape the future of our planning tools. Your Profile Deep expertise in Java and React / TypeScript, with a strong focus on React. Solid knowledge of SQL, includes hands-on experience in complex data modeling and query optimization. Proven adaptability and curiosity; comfortable navigating uncharted territory and handling incomplete requirements. Independent, goal-oriented, and structured way of working. Strong team spirit and excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
