Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking - SGCIB in Frankfurt seeks a senior Java engineer to design and maintain high-performance, low-latency trading components. You will optimize CPU/memory, collaborate with traders, and push architecture evolution in a regulated, fast-paced environment.

We expect 10+ years in Core Java, deep knowledge of concurrency, memory management, and profiling tools; experience with CI/CD, REST/gRPC, and AI-assisted development is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Strong experience in Core Java (10+ years) in performance-critical environments.
• Deep expertise in: Concurrency, multi-threading, synchronization, executors.
• Memory management, collections, streams, generics.
• Proven experience in low latency / high throughput systems.
• Experience with performance tuning & profiling tools (JMH, JProfiler, VisualVM).
• Solid knowledge of: Distributed systems, messaging (JMS), APIs (REST/gRPC).
• Unix/Linux environments and SQL.
• Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Knowledge of derivatives/trading systems is a strong plus.
• Agile mindset and familiarity with modern CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins).
• Fluent English required.
• Interest or experience in AI-augmented development (Copilot, LLMs, automation tooling) is a strong advantage.
